Yesterday was a summer night. I invited my friend Nan over for dinner, and afterward, we played tennis. We came home quite late. Today, I stayed at home and spent the day revising one figure in my thesis. I feel my efficiency has been low lately—I can only manage to fix one figure per day. Although AI is helpful, it hasn’t made my work any easier; the workload remains heavy, and I’m still staying up very late....
Woke up early this morning, but didn’t sleep well last night. Didn’t eat breakfast and wanted to go to the supermarket, but it was too early and the doors were still closed. So I headed to the school instead. There wasn’t much food available, so I grabbed a cup of coffee with soup to get some energy. Later, I went to the tennis court with a friend from Vietnam. Serving is really tough; even though it looks simple in videos, it’s hard to do in practice....
It’s Saturday, and I had planned to go for a run, but I woke up late. The AI agent from last night hadn’t finished its task yet, so I spent the morning tracking its progress to see if it could help solve some issues. While a lot of work got done, most of it was handled by the AI, so I didn’t feel a huge sense of accomplishment—it just made the workflow smoother....
I didn’t go to school today. I woke up a bit late, and although I felt great physically, I skipped my morning workout. However, I stuck with my meditation, which left me feeling refreshed and energized. I then started my work session using the Pomodoro technique, focusing mainly on revising my thesis. I addressed one of the reviewers’ comments and drew several new figures. In the afternoon, I met up with my colleague Nan for tennis, playing from 8:30 until after 10....
June 11, 2026, Thursday. I woke up at 8 a.m. and did ten minutes of bodyweight exercises, followed by ten minutes of meditation. On my way to school, I kept a relaxed pace, using the time to finish my Duolingo English lesson and listen to the interview between Jensen Huang and Lex Fridman. I arrived at school a few minutes late and immediately joined the group meeting. I reported on my recent progress; things were moving a bit slowly, but my advisor, Adam, didn’t say much....
This morning, I got up at eight o’clock. After getting out of bed, I did about twenty minutes of bodyweight training, mainly to strengthen my overall fitness. After that, I did my meditation for the day. Then I took the bus to school and started working. I worked until noon, and then went to have lunch with everyone. In the afternoon, I felt a little sleepy. After sitting at my desk for quite a long time, I decided to move around and do some exercises....
