Early this morning, around six o’clock, I had a strange dream. In the dream, I felt as if someone had entered my room, but I could not actually see anyone there. Then, all of a sudden, I heard the doorbell ring. I somehow guessed that the person, or maybe the “bad guy” in my dream, must be standing outside the door. So I opened the door and immediately punched him with my hand.

But of course, it was only a dream. In real life, that punch made me stretch out my arm and hit the floor lamp beside my bed. The lamp fell straight onto the floor, and the bulb hit the ground heavily, making a loud noise. That was what woke me up.

For the first time, I really realized that my dreams could actually affect my real life. I felt a bit sad about it, because I really liked that floor lamp. But because of this strange accident, it broke.

After that, I went back to sleep. About an hour later, I woke up again and started to clean things up. I felt extremely tired this morning, so I lay down again and did some meditation for about fifteen minutes. After that, I felt much better.

Then I went to my meeting, although I was a few minutes late because the morning felt quite rushed. During the meeting, I shared my recent work with them. I also wanted to tell them that I might not be able to submit the revised version within the original deadline, and that I may need a few extra days. But I still have not gone through everything completely, so I have not given them a final answer yet.

After the meeting, I continued reading the reviewers’ comments, especially the last reviewer’s comments. At first, they looked like a lot, but after reading them more carefully, I realized that each point still left some room for discussion. The reviewer did not force me to make very specific changes, which made me feel a little more relieved.

For the rest of the day, I mainly worked on these revisions. Around lunchtime, we went out for a bike ride, and I shared the story of my strange morning dream with everyone. After coming back, I continued revising the manuscript. Around four o’clock, Nan and I went home together.

After getting home, I cooked dinner and then continued coding until now. I also managed to install Codex on my other machine, which made me quite happy. On top of that, I read English for about an hour today. I was thinking about the idea I learned recently: if you read English for about three hours every day, you can slowly train your thinking language to shift from your native language into English. Today, I read an interview with Jensen Huang.

Overall, I feel that today was quite fulfilling. Tonight, I really want to get a good night’s sleep.
