This morning, I got up at eight o’clock. After getting out of bed, I did about twenty minutes of bodyweight training, mainly to strengthen my overall fitness. After that, I did my meditation for the day.
Then I took the bus to school and started working. I worked until noon, and then went to have lunch with everyone. In the afternoon, I felt a little sleepy. After sitting at my desk for quite a long time, I decided to move around and do some exercises. My colleague Pablo saw me and said he wanted to join me.
He asked me what exercises I had done in the morning, so I told him that I had done push-ups, burpees, and high knees. Then we started doing those exercises together in the office. At first, I felt a little embarrassed, because it looked a bit strange. But once two people were doing this strange thing together, it somehow did not feel that strange anymore.
After work, I came back home with Nan. When I got home, I made fried noodles and had them for dinner. After that, I continued backcoding my “one-thousand-hour plan,” which I had started before.
Later, I continued reading my English material. I am still reading the interview with Jensen Huang. The whole interview is about three hours long, and today I read for about one hour. I felt that the way great people think is indeed quite different from ordinary people.
I feel that today was quite fulfilling. I also sent an email to request a two-week extension for the revision deadline of my manuscript, and I copied my supervisor in the email.
On the way back, Nan and I also discussed whether a certain collaboration would be meaningful. My first reaction was that if it was not a co-first-author paper, then what would be the point of collaborating? But Nan saw it differently. She said that the work she is about to do is related to some techniques she has used before, and the workload would not be too heavy. She mainly wants to use this opportunity to strengthen her skills. After hearing that, I also felt that it could actually be a good collaborative project. So I told her that, in that case, it might be worth doing.
That was basically how my day went.
